Scuderia Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel was the pace setter in the morning session as pre season testing got underway at the Barcelona Circuit Du Catalunya on Monday.
The four time world champion completed 72 laps with a fastest time 01:18.161s ending the session just ahead of SportPesa Racing Point F1 Team’s Sergio Checo Perez who completed 69 laps with a fastest time of 01:19.944s.
Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team’s Valtteri Bottas was third fastest completing 65 laps with a fastest time of 01:20.127s.
On his first morning with Alfa Romeo Racing, Kimi Raikkonen was fourth fastest in the Ferrari powered C38 completing 56 laps with a fastest time of 01:20.160s.
Max Verstappen was for fastest for the Honda powered Aston Martin Red Bull Racing team completing 52 laps with a fastest time of 01:20.174s.
McLaren Renault’s Carlos Sainz was sixth fastest with a fastest time of 01:20.420s as the Spaniard completed 46 laps.
Nico Hulkenberg was 7th fastest for the Renault F1 Team completing 35 laps for the Enstone outfit. The German set a fastest time of 01.20.980s.
The Rich Energy Haas F1 Team’s Domain Grosjean was eighth fastest completing 20 laps with a fastest time of 01:21.500s. Scuderia Toro Rosso’s Daniil Kvyat rounded out the order in 9th place with a fastest time of 01:21.732s completing 18 laps.
