Scuderia Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel led the way in the final practice session ahead of Sunday’s Azerbaijan Grand Prix at the Baku street circuit. The four time world champion set a fastest time of 01:43.091s ending the session just ahead of Mercedes Lewis Hamilton while Kimi Raikkonen in the second Ferrari rounded out the top three.
Aston Martin Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen was fourth fastest in the RB14 ending the session with a time of 01:43.519s just ahead of Valtteri Bottas in the second Mercedes.
Sahara Force India’s Sergio Perez was sixth fastest with a fastest time of 01:43.936s just ahead of the Haas F1 Team’s Kevin Magnussen. Lance Stroll was eighth fastest for the Williams Martini Racing team.
Esteban Ocon in the second Force India was ninth fastest just ahead of Sergey Sirotkin who rounded out the top ten despite the fact that he hit the wall at turn 3 bringing out the red flag towards the end of the session.
McLaren Renault’s Fernando Alonso was 11th fastest with a time of 01:43.763s ending the session just ahead of Chinese Grand Prix winner Daniel Ricciardo for Aston Martin Red Bull Racing.
Pierre Gasly was 13th fastest just ahead of the Sauber F1 Team’s Charles LeClerc. Romain Grosjean ended the session in 15th place for the Haas F1 Team just ahead of the Renault Sport F1 Team’s Carlos Sainz.
Nico Hulkenberg was 18th in the second Renault just ahead of McLaren Renault’s Stoffel Vandoorne. The Sauber F1 Team’s Marcus Ericsson and Toro Rosso’s Brendan Hartley rounded out the order in 19th and 20th place respectively.
