The all female W Series capped off a memorable debut year at Sunday’s Autosport Awards in London where in front of leaders of Formula One and Formula E the series took home a special piece of silver wear.
W Series CEO Catherine Bond Muir was presented with the prestigious Autosport Award for Pioneering and Innovation and speaking at the awards she said:
This is a stunning night for W Series. “And it caps the most incredible first year for us, our drivers and our business partners. But even though we’re celebrating tonight, we remain firmly committed to our mission to increase the number of women in the sport that we all love – and awards such as these make us more and more determined to succeed.
The award capped a great week for the W Series after they received an award from motoring writers guild while prior to the awards in London they,announced a multi year partnership with ROKiT.
The 2020 W Series car were on display at the event including defending W Series champion Jamie Chadwick’s No.55 ROKiT car.
