Speaking during Harding Steinbrenner Racing’s first edition of ‘The Pitbox’ O’Ward said it is going to be interesting as there are three different eras racing in the NTT IndyCar Series this year with veterans like defending series champion Scott Dixon, Tony Kanaan and Will Power, then there’s Alexander Rossi, Josef Newgarden and James Hinchcliffe and then there are the new drivers like himself, Colton Herta and Ben Hanley.

O’Ward was asked about everything being news to which he said the quicker they get their heads wrapped around and says that the most important relationship he has is with his race engineer.

At the 2018 NTT IndyCar Series season finale in Sonoma, O’Ward had a great qualifying session and ended the race in the top ten and said that this really gave him a prospective of what the NTT IndyCar Series is about.

O’Ward and Herta will take part in the first full field NTT IndyCar Series test of the year next month at the Circuit of the Americas but O’Ward says that he and Herta just need to learn the car as it all brand new to them.
