The opening race of the 2025 NTT INDYCAR  SERIES season, the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg presented by RP Funding is exactly one week away from today.

The 27 full-time NTT INDYCAR SERIES drivers were at Sebring International Raceway this week for two days of pre-season testing.

The times from testing weren’t representative of where the teams stand as they were all testing different things.

PREMA Racing, the newest team on the INDYCAR grid showed impressive speed and times which is encouraging for 86th street based team.

PREMA Racing has Calum Ilott and rookie Robert Shwartzman this season.

Juncos Hollinger Racing has a brand new lineup in 2025 with Conor Daly and Sting Ray Robb in the car. Daly showed great pace during pre-season ending the test in 10th place in the combined times with a 00:52.5746s.

Team Penske, Chip Ganassi Racing and Andretti Global are the only teams to have unchanged lineups in 2025.

Ganassi trimmed down from five to three cars in 2025 with Kyffin Simpson, six-time series champion Scott Dixon and defending series champion Alex Palou at the team.

Arrow McLaren not only have a new lineup with Christian Lundgaard joing Pato O’Ward and Nolan Siegel at the team but they also have a new  Team Principal with 2013 Indianapolis 500 winner Tony Kanaan taking on the role.

Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing has two new drivers with INDY NXT presented by Firestone champion Louis Foster and Devlin DeFrancesco returning to INDYCAR alongside Graham Rahal.

Ed Carpenter Racing has new ownership with Ted Gelov of the Heartland Food Products Group tsking a stake in the team bringing in Splenda and Java House as primary sponsorship to Christian Rasmussen and their new driver Alexander Rossi.

Dale Coyne Racing has a brand new lineup Rinus VeeKay and INDYCAR newcomer Jacob Abel.

Meyer Shank Racing has brought in Marcus Armstrong as Felix Rosenqvist’s teammate for 2025.

AJ Foyt Racing has brought in David Malukas to partner Santino Ferrucci.

There are no new venues on the calendar this season however, the Thermal Club will host a championship points race.

The biggest change this year is that we have a brand new exclusive broadcaster as Fox takeover the TV rights for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES from NBC.
