Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team Principal and CEO Toto Wolff said that the Brackley based outfit got it back today after defending Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton came through the field in tricky conditions to win the German Grand Prix.

Hamilton who started the race from 14th place bounced back from a disappointing British Grand Prix to lead a Mercedes 1-2 at their home circuit in Germany with Valtteri Bottas in second.

Speaking following the race, Wolff said he was unsure of what had happened with the confusion in the pit-lane when Lewis Hamilton went to make his stop as there was so much chatter on the radio.

The main thing for the Brackley based outfit is that they now have retaken the lead in the Constructors championship and following Sebastian Vettel’s retirement from his home race, Lewis Hamilton takes a 17 point lead in the championship to the next race in Hungary.
