Arrow McLaren’s Alexander Rossi says the team has a big challenge ahead of them in Sunday’s 107th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge. Rossi rolls off from seventh place in the Greatest Spectacle In Racing. Speaking to Paddock Eye on Media Day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Thursday, the 2016 Indianapolis 500 winner said that having Brian Barnhart with him in the team has brought a sense of normality to the situation in what has been a completely new experience for Rossi with a new team and new engine supplier in Chevrolet having been with Honda since the start of his career in 2016.
Rossi explained that Barnhart had done a great job so far in his new role, Gavin stepping into his new role has been tremendous, and the team is aiming for a solid race on Sunday. Rossi also said it has been great having Tony Kanaan in the squad for his ‘last Indy 500’.
