NTT INDYCAR SERIES team owner Don Cusick says that there is one more chapter to write in this crazy story as Dreyer and Reinbold Racing with Cusick Motorsports prepare for the 107th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbrdige later today.
The team had a rough week in the build-up to the race after their driver, Stefan Wilson, was forced out of the race after colliding with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Katherine Legge which forced him into the wall. The resulting crash meant that Wilson suffered fractured vertebrae.
The resulting accident meant that Wilson underwent surgery during the week, ruling him out of the race. Graham Rahal who was bumped from the field and as a result, he was not expecting to race however, he was handed the opportunity to drive for Dreyer and Reinbold Racing in place of his fried Stefan Wilson.
Looking ahead to the race today, Don Cusick commented saying:
Waking up this morning, race day, we are hopeful. One more chapter to write in this wild story. Thank you to all my friends, family, team # and partners for all your support. You are all awesome!!
Speaking to Paddock Eye on the grid for the Greatest Spectacle In Racing, Don Cusick said that he is confident about how Graham Rahal will do during the race. Speaking about Stefan Wilson, Cusick said that he was at the track and is looking forward to the race.
