Schmidt Peterson Motorsports James Hinchcliffe believes that the No.5 Arrow crew have a lot to be proud of following his second place finish at the Firestone 600 on Saturday night.
The mayor of HinchTown led the race for 76 days and completely dominated the race lapping virtually the entire field. When it came to his pit stops, Hinch’s crew were completely flawless.
Hinchcliffe ended the race in second place just behind Graham Rahal who took victory in what proved to be the closest victory in Texas Motor Speedway history. In a post on Instagram Hinchcliffe commented by saying:
#AfterBurner. Proof we had a rocket last night. Losing that one at the line stings, but so much to be proud of as a team. Helluva finish for the fans.
The Schmidt Peterson Motorsports driver heads to the IndyCar Grand Prix at the glen next weekend in eighth place in the Verizon IndyCar Series standings on 392 points just two behind Graham Rahal.
