McLaren Racing’s Andreas Seidl says the team has to be happy with their result from today’s United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. The Woking-based outfit came away with 14 valuable points in their fight with Ferrari for third place in the Constructors championship with Daniel Ricciardo coming home in fifth place while Lando Norris came home in eighth place.

Speaking to Paddock Eye following the race, Seidl said that he was impressed with how Ricciardo was able to stay ahead of both Valtteri Bottas and Carlos Sainz which enabled the team to stay ahead of Ferrari in the championship albeit with their lead cut to 3.5 points as a result of Charles Leclerc finishing the race in fourth place.

Seidl told us that he was even more impressed with the team’s performance this weekend given that Ferrari appeared to have the faster car over the course of the race weekend compared to McLaren which he found encouraging,
