NTT IndyCar Series President Jay Ftue says the series learned a lot for the future of the sport on Friday after several drivers conducted a push to pass test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval.

Defending NTT IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Chip Ganassi Racing Honda was joined by Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden as well as Arrow McLaren SP’s Pato O’Ward and Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi at the test.

Dale Coyne Racing with Rick Ware Racing’s Romain Grosjean is at Sebring International Raceway on Monday for his final day of pre-season testing ahead of his race debut at Barber Motorsports Park next month.

There is a two day test planned for Tuesday and Wednesday at Texas Motor Speedway and taking to Twitter on Sunday evening Frye said:
