Schmidt Peterson Motorsport’s James Hinchcliffe said the team learned a lot from their test at Sebring International Raceway on Tuesday.
The Mayor of HinchTown was the pace setter during the opening NTT IndyCar Series test of 2019, leading a Honda top five.
The Canadian who drives the No.5 Arrow Electronics Honda said that the team had an awful lot to work through, stuff that they wouldn’t have tried to test during a race weekend.
Hinch has a new team mate for 2019 with Marcus Ericsson joining the team and the NTT IndyCar Series in the No.7 Honda as Robert Wickens continues to recover from the injuries he suffered after his horrendous crash at Pocono Raceway last year.
Schmidt Peterson Motorsports have been extremely impressed with Ericsson’s feedback and how he has settled into the team.
