Graham Rahal driving the United Rentals Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing Team Honda is hopeful that the outfit can have a strong weekend following tough month of May.
Rahal heads into the Detroit weekend following a tough race last time out at the Indianapolis 500 where he finished the race in 14th place having qualified in 26th place and finds himself in 12th place in the championship on 173 points.
Taking to Twitter before the start of the opening practice session of the day at the Belle Isle Grand Prix of Detroit, Rahal stated:
Getting ready to start practice here
@detroitgp. Couldn’t ask for better weather! Big weekend for us, we need to gain some points quick!
Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing are back to being a one car team after Ed Carpenter Racing confirmed on Thursday that Spencer Pigot will be in the car for the remaining street and road races of the season starting with the races in Detroit.
