Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Graham Rahal who drives the No.15 United Rentals Honda says the team will be fine for the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend following a tough month of May for the team.
In the final practice session on Monday before Carb Day on Friday Rahal, who will start the race from 30th place following a four lap average qualifying speed of 225.327MPH ended the practice session in 17th place with a fastest speed of 223.119MPH having completed a total of 115 laps.
Taking to Twitter following the on track action at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Rahal said:
Nice to be on track today and get some more race running in. The
@United_Rentals machine was much improved, needed a little less understeer but all good. We will he just fine. On the to Tampa now for media day, May isn’t for the weak…or those who want rest, that’s for sure!
Rahal goes into the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil in sixth the Verizon IndyCar Series standings on 142 points.
