Team Penske’s Helio Castroneves says that Takuma Sato just had a better engine aftercthe Japanese driver took victory just ahead of Castroneves in Sunday’s 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.

Despite just missing out on winning his fourth Indianapolis 500, Castroneves says hde will come back stronger next year.

Team owner Roger Penske also stated thst Helio Castroneves is a senior driver in the team just as he is senior in the outfit. Castroneves heads to the Detroit double header this weekend leading the series championship by 11 points from team mate Simon Pagenaud, Indy 500 winner Takuma Sato and Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon.

The Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix was the scene of Helio Castroneves’ last Verizon IndyCar Series victory back in 2014 and he will be hoping he can win this weekend.

Castroneves had a lucky escape at the Speedway on Sunday as he went underneath Scott Dixon’s flying Ganassi as it went airborne following the New Zealander’s horrendous crash.
