Andretti Harding Steinbrenner Racing’s James Hinchcliffe, driver of the No.29 Genesys Honda says he hopes the team has two consistent well-executed races in Detroit this weekend following a tough Indianapolis 500 where he finished the race in 21st place but looking ahead to this weekend the Mayor of HinchTown said:

“I’ll be honest, the week off after the Indy 500 and Detroit this year has made me that much more excited for this weekend. Getting that time to recover and decompress from May has been great. I think the team is rested and ready to go hit the streets in Detroit and we’ve got our fingers crossed for two consistent, well-executed races. It’ll be nice to get back to Detroit after missing it last year and we had strong street course cars in St. Pete, so hopefully that’s a sign of things to come this weekend.”

Colton Herta in the No.26 Gainbridge Honda is looking forward to the doubleheader this weekend saying:

“I’m looking forward to getting back to Detroit this weekend. The track there is a handful and the bumps are pretty extreme, but I enjoy racing there. I qualified well for both races in 2019, so we’re confident we can come away with some strong results this weekend for the Gainbridge Honda.”

Ryan Hunter Reay in the No.28 DHL Honda is looking forward to one of his favorite stops on the NTT IndyCar Series schedule saying:

“Racing on Belle Isle has always been one of my favorite stops on the NTT INDYCAR SERIES schedule. We’re all looking forward to getting back to some street course racing at Detroit after missing out on going back in 2020 due to COVID. We’ve had strong results here in the past, including a win in 2018, so hopefully we can use that experience to our advantage.”

Alexander Rossi in the No.27 AutoNation Honda is looking forward to the doubleheader saying:

Detroit is one of the wildest street courses in all of motorsports and thus one of my favorites. We’ve had a lot of success there in the past and we will be pushing very hard to come out of this weekend with some shiny hardware and big points
