Verizon IndyCar Series driver Tony Kanaan who drives the No.10 NTT DATA Honda for Chip Ganassi Racing said that he had a cool experience as he finished his first LeMans 24 Hours race for Ford Chip Ganassi Racing over the weekend as he finished the race in sixth place in class in the No.68 Ford GT.
Speaking following the race, he commented by saying:
What a cool experience I had at the 24 Heures du Mans. Gotta thank Ford Performance, Chip Ganassi Racing Teams and my teammates Joey Hand Racing and Dirk Müller Racing for sticking with me. P6 was not what we aimed for but I can say I had a lot of fun!
Kanaan finished the race just ahead of his Verizon IndyCar Series team mate Scott Dixon. The pair will now head to the Road America circuit for the Kohler Grand Prix next weekend in Wisconsin.
