Honda Racing Corporation changed all of their engines ahead of Thursday’s practice, while Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Chip Ganassi Racing Honda changed his engine overnight on Wednesday. Now on his fifth engine for the season, he will have a nine-place grid penalty for Detroit.
The Chevrolet-powered teams all had engine changes overnight at the Speedway in preparation for today’s track action.
