Arrow Schmidt Peterson Motorsports Robert Wickens had some time behind the wheel of the Acura NSX that he drive on the parade lap at this weekend’s Honda Indy Toronto.
Taking to Facebook on Wednesday, the Canadian said:
WHAT. A. DAY.
I’ve been dreaming of this day for a long time, and words can’t describe how it felt to be back in a car.
The hand controls that Arrow Electronics prepared were fun to learn, and I feel like I picked it up really easily! As we all know Motorsports main purpose is to evolve the automotive industry, and in my particular circumstance accessibility.
I am extremely grateful and excited to work alongside with Arrow Electronics Honda Racing/HPD Honda and Acura on this project and develop this technology further.
Thanks again to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for letting us have some private time on the track. I can’t wait to get out in front of the hometown crowd on Sunday and drive the parade lap for the HondaIndyToronto!
