McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown has called on Darlton Capital the new owners of the Williams Racing team need to spend big in order to find success in Formula One.
Speaking to Motorsport.com, Brown whose McLaren team finished third in the 2020 Formula One Constructors championship says that he believes the Grove based team don’t have a much in the way of sponsorship so they need to invest in their infrastructure in 2021 to move forward.
Brown says that the team have great people and that they need to invest in order to move forward.
The Williams family left Formula One after over 40 years in the sport and an incredible history towards the end of the 2020 season with the team ending the year in tenth place on zero points.
The McLaren team themselves had a difficult period from 2015 to 2017 but have now turned things around with a great season in 2020 while they move to Mercedes power in 2021.
