M-Sport World Rally Championship team boss Malcolm Wilson OBE believes that Elfyn Evans can emulate the success that Ott Tanak had with the team in 2017.

Evans has stepped up to the second Ford Fiesta EccoBoost alongside defending champion Sebastien Ogier for the 2018 season following Tanak’s move to Toyota Gazoo Racing over the winter.

Speaking to Paddock Eye at the Autosport International Show on Thursday morning, Wilson also said that he thinks it could be a tough season for his outfit particularly as a privateer going up against the full factory teams of Citroen, Toyota and Hyundai.

Wilson said particularly as they are running three cars this season with a limited budget.
