Chip Ganassi Racing announced on Tuesday that the application process has opened for the fourth season of Women In Motorsports presented by PNC Bank.
Students across the U.S. are encouraged to apply no later than Sept. 30, 2024. To learn more and apply for the fully funded program, visit http://chipganassiracing.com/wim2025.
Hands-On Learning Experience: Interns will be fully integrated into Chip Ganassi Racing’s NTT INDYCAR SERIES teams, including the No. 9 PNC Bank Honda driven by six-time champion Scott Dixon. The program has accepted interns from many fields, including communications, engineering, IT, physical training and more.
Successful Outcomes: Multiple internship alumni have landed full-time careers in motorsports, including with Chip Ganassi Racing. Rebecca Hutton started as an intern in the program and is now an engineer with CGR.
Rebecca Hutton, engineer, Chip Ganassi Racing said:
“Women In Motorsports gave me the opportunity to transition from intern to full-time in one year. Angela Ashmore was my mentor during the internship, and she continues to be a big influence on me now. You can already see the impact this initiative has had not only at Chip Ganassi Racing, but within the whole paddock. Programs like Women In Motorsports powered by PNC Bank create opportunities for us that may have been difficult to come by otherwise. I believe that this program specifically continues to accelerate those chances.”
