The 2023 NTT IndyCar Series season gets underway next week with a two-day Spring Training session at the Thermal Club in Thermal, California.
AJ Foyt Racing heads into the new season with a brand new driver line-up, with Santino Ferrucci making a full-time return to the series driving the No.14 AJ Foyt Racing Chevrolet.
Ferrucci returns to full-time IndyCar competition after completing a partial program with Dreyer and Reinbold Racing, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, and Juncos Hollinger Racing, and his strong results helped him to earn his return to the NTT IndyCar Series season with AJ Foyt Racing as their lead driver for 2023.

Benjamin Pedersen’s open test at the Thermal Club will be his first opportunity to drive the No.55 Sexton Properties Chevrolet in the classic AJ Foyt Racing Coyote red. Speaking at the time of signing for AJ Foyt Racing, Pedersen commented saying:
I am excited to get on track in Thermal (Calif.) in just a few weeks with a livery that is recognizable with the iconic Coyote Red and a new car number to AJ Foyt Racing,
Earlier this week, the team announced that Pedersen would compete with a different number than the one he had originally chosen and would compete in the No.55 Sexton Properties Chevrolet.
Paddock Eye verdict: AJ Foyt Racing will have a solid season with two very exciting drivers.
