McLaren Racing announced on Friday that CEO Zak Brown will remain with the Woking-based outfit until 2030.

Brown 52, first joined McLaren in 2016 as Executive Director of McLaren Technology Group.

The American became McLaren Racing CEO in April 2018 and has played a pivotal role in the organization’s expansion into other forms of racing such as their acquisition of Schmidt Peterson Motorsports in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES rebranding the team Arrow McLaren and expanding from two to three full-time cars.

McLaren Racing are also now involved in Formula E and Extreme E.

Speaking about the announcentMcLaren Group’s Executive Chairman, Paul Walsh, stated,

“Zak has demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities and has been instrumental in driving McLaren Racing forward. His extension reflects our confidence in his ability to lead the team to even greater success in the years to come.”

Zak Brown said,
