Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda says that the opening lap incident between him and Andretti Global’s Kyle Kirkwood in Portland last weekend was a real F You moment from the Florida native.

Speaking after finishing second in practice at the Milwaukee Mile on Friday, the Iceman who is mathematically still in with a chance of winning the NTT INDYCAR SERIES title despite his 101-point deficit to his Chip Ganassi Racing teammate and current championship leader Alex Palou in the No.10 DHL Honda.

Dixon explained that he spoke to Kirkwood about the incident on Friday.

Yeah, we spoke today. Yeah, I don’t know. It was definitely an F-U move. I explained that to him. That’s kind of amateur when you’re doing stuff like that. It’s also how the series allows you to race. So I don’t know what the answer is on that, to be honest.

In my way of racing, the outside, the white line, there’s a wall there. But you just can’t run somebody completely off. We saw the chain effect of what happened there. Then with Pietro, Pietro really had nowhere to go, but it was because of the 27 and the issue we had.

I don’t know. I said I wouldn’t race him like that. That was kind of the end of it, so..
