Fox Sports were forced to apologize to INDYCAR fans on Sunday afternoon. The Thermal Club INDYCAR Grand was interrupted on lap 30 of the race due to what INDYCAR and Indianapolis Motor Speedway President J Douglas Boles says was a tripped breaker.

It is suspected that the combination of a brand new production truck coupled with the hot temperatures in California were partly to blame for the issue.

For their part, Fox Sports day that they will dissect the truck between now and Long Beach to find and rectify the cause of the issue.

During the outage, Fox Sports switched to live coverage of the NASCAR race at Homestead Miami Speedway which was won by Hendrick Motorsports Kyle Larson who will once again join Arrow McLaren for the Greatest Spectacle In Racing, the 109th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on May 25.
