Conor Daly and Ed Carpenter Racing announced on Wednesday that the Noblesville-native will not continue with the team for the remainder of 2023.
ECR announced in making the statement about Daly that they would announce the road course driver in the coming days.
The team also confirmed that the car will remain full-time.
Team owner Ed Carpenter could slide into the No.20 BitNile Chevrolet for the remaining oval races of the season however, Paddock Eye understands that this is unlikely given the fact that they have the No.33 BitNile Chevrolet set aside for Carpenter.
2022 Indy NXT presented by Firestone champion Linus Lundqvist missed out on a place in the INDYCAR SERIES field and has previously tested with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing.
Paddock Eye understands that the Swede will be in the car for the remaining road and street course events this season.
We also understand that Ryan Hunter-Reay, who recently competed in the 107th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge with Dreyer and Reinbold Racing could race the No.20 BitNile Chevrolet in the remaining ovals in 2023.
