Meyer Shank Racing’s David Malukas was fastest in the opening practice session of the weekend at World Wide Technology Raceway. Malukas set a fastest speed of 178.830MPH.

Colton Herta in the No.26 Gainbridge Andretti Global Honda was second just ahead of Scott McLaughlin and Will Power.

Alex Palou in the No.10 Samaritan’s Purse Honda was fifth just ahead of Romain Grosjean.

Felix Rosenqvist was eighth just ahead of Nolan Siegel and Kyle Kirkwood.

Pato O’Ward was 11th just ahead of Conor Daly of Juncos Hollinger Racing.

Alexander Rossi was 13th just ahead of Linus Lundqvist who had a small hybrid issue which meant he stopped on track.

Rinus VeeKay was 15th just ahead of Josef Newgarden and Marcus Armstrong while Scott Dixon was 19th just ahead of Graham Rahal.

Santino Ferrucci was 21st just ahead of Christian Lundgaard and Ed Carpenter.

Kyffin Simpson was 24th just ahead of Jack Harvey and Pietro Fittipaldi while Katherine Legge rounded out the order in 27th place.
