Chevrolet NTT IndyCar Series program manager Rob Buckner says the Bow Tie will not let up in their battle for the 2022 NTT IndyCar Series drivers championship during the final two races of the season.

Four Chevrolet-powered drivers from two teams are still mathematically in the fight for the title.

Will Power in the No.12 Verizon 5G Team Penske Chevrolet leads the championship by three points from his team-mate Josef Newgarden heading to Portland.

Scott McLaughlin is sixth while Arrow McLaren SP’s Pato O’Ward is seventh.

Speaking ahead of this weekend’s race in Portland, Buckner says:

This is one of the most competitive championship races we’ve seen in INDYCAR in quite some time. “Portland takes on more importance for that reason. Getting through the first chicane at the start can make all the difference not just for the race, but for the championship as well. Our teams collected significant test mileage last week, which gives us valuable data to get ready for a challenging weekend. It’s been a strong season but there’s no letting up for the last two races of the season.”
