Chip Ganassi Racing’s Alex Palou in the No.10 NTT DATA Honda says that he hopes to wrap up the championship on Sunday in the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in California. The Spaniard who is in his first season with Chip Ganassi Racing has been extremely successful so far this season having taken three victories to date including last time out at the Grand Prix of Portland and the opening race of the season, the IndyCar Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park.
Palou has a 25 point lead in the championship over Arrow McLaren SP’s Pato O’Ward and he is hoping to be in a position to not have to worry about the championship going into next weekend’s season-ending Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.
