Oracle Red Bull Racing’s Sergio Perez scored his fifth career victory in Formula One after a dominant performance in Saudi Arabia on Sunday.

Defending champion Max Verstappen had a great race coming from 15th to finish the race in second place to claim the championship lead having scored a bonus point for the fastest lap.

Two-time Formula One champion Fernando Alonso scored his 100th podium and his second in a row for the Aston Martin Aramaco Cognizant Formula One Team.

The Spaniard was handed a five second penalty due to being out of position on the grid.

Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team’s George Russell and Lewis Hamilton finished the race in fourth and fifth place respectively just ahead of the Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc.

It was a strong race for the Alpine F1 Team as Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly finished the race in eighth and ninth place respectively.

The MoneyGram Haas F1 Team’s Kevin Magnussen rounded out the top ten just ahead of Yuki Tsunoda and Nico Hulkenberg.

Zhou Guanyu was P13 just ahead of Nyck De Vries while Oscar Piastri came home in P15 just ahead of Williams Racing’s Logan Sargeant.

Lando Norris was 17th just ahead of Valtteri Bottas.

Alex Albon retired from the race with brake failure while Lance Stroll brought out the safety car early on having been forced to retire from the race.

Fernando Alonso is currently under investigation for serving a penalty incorrectly and will likely move down to St least fourth place in race.
