Meyer Shank Racing announced on Thursday that Root Insurance will serve as primary sponsor to Marcus Armstrong at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.
Armstrong is no stranger to Root Insurance having been with the organization while competing with Chip Ganassi Racing.
The 50th anniversary edition of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach takes place from April 11-13.
Speaking about the news, Jason Shapiro, senior vice president of business development at Root, said:
We’re thrilled to continue supporting Marcus for another season and proud to join forces with MSR this year.
“This partnership strengthens our commitment to IndyCar racing and driving insurance forward.
Root Insurance’s title partnership on the No. 66 Honda will extend to three additional races in the 2025 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season, including the Detroit Grand Prix (June 1st), the Grand Prix of Monterey at Laguna Seca (July 27th) and the season-ending Big Machine Music City Grand Prix at Nashville Superspeedway (August 31st).
Marcus Armstrong, driver of the No.66 Root Insurance Honda says:
I’m excited to have Root back as a primary sponsor this year for four races. “I have a great relationship with the team at Root and I’m looking forward to continuing the partnership. Last year I scored my first-ever INDYCAR podium with Root on the car in Detroit and hopefully this year we can add to those results starting with Long Beach.”
