Two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Takuma Sato in the No.11 Deloitte Chip Ganassi Racing Honda led the way on Fast Friday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway ahead of qualifying this weekend with a speed of 234.753MPH ending the day just ahead of Marco Andretti in the No.98 Kuhlr Honda who set a speed of 234.202MPH.

Rinus VeeKay was third fastest just ahead of defending champion Marcus Ericsson and Arrow McLaren’s Pato O’Ward. Josef Newgarden was fifth fastest for Team Penske with a speed of 233.767MPH just ahead of AJ Foyt Racing’s Santino Ferrucci, who had a fantastic day for the team with a speed of 233.758MPh in seventh place, just ahead of Kyle Kirkwood and Colton Herta.

Despite his issue, six-time series champion Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda rounded out the top ten with a speed of 233.758MPH, just ahead of his former teammate Felix Rosenqvist. Will Power was 12th with a speed of 233.394MPH, just ahead of his teammate Scott McLaughlin.

Alex Palou was P14 with a speed of 233.268MPH, just ahead of Benjamin Pedersen for AJ Foyt Racing. At the same time, Alexander Rossi was P16 just ahead of Tony Kanaan, who set a speed of 233.097MPH, ending the day just ahead of Conor Daly and Romain Grosjean. At the same time, Agustin Canapino rounded out the top twenty.

Ed Carpenter was 21st, just ahead of Ryan Hunter Reay and Simon Pagenaud. Stefan Wilson was 24th in the No.24 DRR with Cusick Motorsports Chevrolet who set a speed of 233.097MPH.

David Malukas was 25th just ahead of Devlin DeFrancesco and Helio Castroneves. Sting Ray Robb was 28th just ahead of Katherine Legge who was the fastest RLL driver on Friday. RC Enerson was 30th just ahead of Rahal trio of Jack Harvey who suffered a suspected engine failure. Christian Lundgaard was 32nd just ahead of Graham Rahal while Callum Ilott was 34th.
