McLaren Racing Team Principal Andreas Seidl says that the Woking-based outfit has identified what caused Daniel Ricciardo to retire from the Sao Paulo Grand Prix on Sunday.
Speaking to Paddock Eye in his post race debrief Seidl said that Ricciardo suffered a loss of power due to crack in the chassis on the engine side.
Seidl went on to say that he believes the team need to reevaluate where they are going to fi is the season but that the focus now firmly switches to the inaugural Qatar Grand Prix.
Seidl said that the team has made a big step forward compared to last year in terms of how they work together and he is very happy with what he is seeing.
Seidl also said that the team are learning from their performances this season.
