AJ Foyt Racing Team President Larry Foyt says that the team will have two full-time cars for the 2023 NTT IndyCar Series season.
Speaking to Paddock Eye during the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca earlier this month, Foyt said that the team are currently putting plans in place to have two cars on the gird next year.
Kyle Kirkwood will join Andretti Autosport next season and questions have been asked about the future of Dalton Kellett who brings sponsorship from his family’s company K Line Insulatorsm
Foyt told Paddock Eye that the team will make an announcement within the next month as to who will drive for the team in the NTT IndyCar Series in 2023.
Foyt confirmed to Paddock Eye that they had hoped to hold on to Tatiana Calderón for the remainder of the season however that was made impossible by the fact that primary sponsor ROKiT defaulted on their payments so they forced to terminate the sponsorship agreement.
Paddock Eye understands that Don Cusick and Cusick Motorosports could potentially run a car with support from AJ Foyt Racing just like they did for the Indianaplis 500 in May with Stefan Wilson behind the wheel.
