The 2024 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season may have just wrapped up, but here at Paddock Eye, we thought we would delve into what is in store for 2025, as there are some pretty big changes afoot for the teams and the series.

The first significant change for 2025 is that we have a new television partner, Fox Sports, taking over from NBC. It is unknown who will make up the Fox broadcasting team, but Paddock Eye understands that at least one of NBC’s team will be making the move. Jack Harvey, who completed a partial schedule with Dale Coyne Racing in 2024, is interested in broadcasting work.

The next big change for 2025 is the introduction of INDYCAR’s charter system, which has resulted in Chip Ganassi Racing scaling down from five to three cars for next season. It has been confirmed that Marcus Armstrong, who completed full-time for the team in 2024, will join Felix Rosenqvist at Meyer Shank Racing.

Alexander Rossi has joined Ed Carpenter Racing for 2025. Speaking of Ed Carpenter, he has sold a portion of his team to Ted Gelov of the Heartland Food Products Group, the owners of Splenda and JavaHouse Coffee.

There are also drivers in new places, with David Malukas joining Santino Ferrucci at AJ Foyt Racing and Callum Ilott returning to full-time INDYCAR SERIES competition with the newly formed PREMA Racing.

Arrow McLaren has a new line-up, with Pato O’Ward joined by Nolan Siegel and Christian Lundgaard. The other big change for 2025 is that the season will last just six months, with the championship running from March 2 to August 31.

The biggest surprise of the off-season to date was the news last week that Michael Andretti has stepped back from the day-to-day operations side of Andretti Global.
