Nolan Siegel was 11th just ahead of Christian Lundgaard and Will Power.
Defending Long Beach winner Scott Dixon starts the race 14th just ahead of Josef Newgarden and Graham Rahal.
Kyffin Simpson starts the race from 17th just ahead of Christian Rasmussen and Sting Ray Robb.
Louis Foster starts 20th for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing just ahead of Conor Daly and Callum Ilott.
Devlin DeFrancesco starts 23rd for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing just ahead of Robert Shwartzman and Rinus VeeKay.
Jacob Abel and Santino Ferrucci rounded out the grid.
