Felix Rosenqvist, driver of the No.60 Sirius XM Meyer Shank Racing Honda, who started last year’s Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach from pole position, will start Sunday’s race from fourth place. Speaking following Saturday’s qualifying,, where he set a time of 01:06.6358s, the Swede said:
“Pretty good all in all. I had a little miss in turn nine, but honestly, I don’t think I would have placed it higher if I had put it all together. It was kind of what we had, I’m happy, we transferred to the Firestone Fast Six, and then we gained another two spots. So I’m pretty happy with that. We definitely didn’t have the pace of Kirkwood today, he was half a second in front, so I’m bummed and excited at the same time I think we’re in a pretty good spot for tomorrow.”
Marcus Armstrong in the No.66 Root Insurance Honda starts the race from seventh after setting a fastest time of 01:06.9381s and speaking following the action he commented saying:
“The car was strong today. We had a good car, especially in Q2 but I just missed out by the skin of our teeth. Great job all around from Meyer Shank Racing, Felix as well. We have had a great qualifying record this year with both cars, so that’s great.”
