Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Graham Rahal in the No.15 Fleet Cost and Care Honda was the pace setter on race day warm-up at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. Rahal set a fastest time of 01:08.0151s, ending the session just ahead of Josef Newgarden, while Marcus Armstrong had an excellent morning for Meyer Shank Racing, ending the 30-minute session in third place with a time of 01:08.4736s.

Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon, in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda, who won here last season, was fourth fastest, just ahead of Pato O’Ward and pole-sitter Kyle Kirkwood in the No.27 PREFAB Honda.

David Malukas in the No.4 Chevrolet was seventh for AJ Foyt Racing just ahead of Felix Rosenqvist and Marcus Ericsson. At the same time, Christian Rasmussen rounded out the top ten for Ed Carpenter Racing.

Championship leader Alex Palou in the No.10 DHL Chip Ganassi Racing Honda was 11th with a time of 01:09.2589s, ending the session just ahead of Devlin DeFrancesco and Scott McLaughlin. At the same time, Robert Schwartzman was 14th just ahead of Juncos Hollinger Racing’s Conor Daly, who set a time of 01:09.4579s.

Rinus VeeKay was 16th just ahead of Will Power in the No.12 Verizon Team Penske Chevrolet. Kyffin Simpson was 18th just ahead of Colton Herta and Santino Ferrucci while Louis Foster was 21st just ahead of Alexander Rossi and Sting Ray Robb. Jacob Able was 24th just ahead of Christian Lundgaard and Nolan Siegel while Callum Ilott rounded out the order having failed to set a time.
