Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda had a solid race at the Acura Grand Prix of Long on Sunday.
The Iceman started the race from 14th and came through to finish eighth and as a result made history.
Dixon’s top ten finish was the Chip Ganassi Racing driver’s 300th career top ten finish in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES.
The Chip Ganassi Racing driver has an impressive 405 race starts.
Dixon has had a second place finish in St Petersburg, a tenth place finish at The Thermal Club and an eight place finish last time out in Long Beach.
Dixon heads to Barber Motorsports Park next month in fifth place in the championship.
